SPIDERtel Awarded Web & 3-D Modeling Contract
B&W Trailer
Hitches, a premier manufacturer of a revolutionary line of
trailer hitches, is looking to use the web to showcase their product
lines in a way that truly captures their sophistication.
SPIDERtel is in the
midst of a web re-design project for this southeastern Kansas firm,
which will include among other things a powerful user interface to
showcase B&W’s products. The interface will allow for several
different 'views' of the products including range of motion views, a
demo of component installations, and 360 degree animations.
3D modeling will be
embedded into a Flash animation segment, enabling a great user
experience and a compelling introduction to B&W’s product line.

The Future of Bulbs Is Bright
Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs are about to take a much bigger share
of the light-bulb market, and it’s a very good thing as far as
SPIDERtel is concerned.
CFLs
emit the same light as classic incandescents but use less than 25%
of the energy. This in turn reduces energy bills. But, more
importantly, CFLs spare greenhouse gas emissions that
otherwise would be sent into our fragile atmosphere.
Consider this: If every one of the 110 million U.S. households were to
replace just one CFL in place of an ordinary bulb, the energy saved
would be enough to power a city of 1.5 million people. That’s just
one bulb in every household, not to mention businesses and other
public buildings.
SPIDERtel leases our office space and while we are not directly
motivated to cut our utility bills, we have replaced all our
standard bulbs with CFLs because we believe this is the right thing
to do.
CFL
prices are sure to drop over the next year, as sales and demand
increase, and we encourage everyone to help themselves and our
environment.

MSN’s Paid Placement Advertising Program
SPIDERtel has
added a new search engine paid placement distribution channel to
those that we currently support: Microsoft’s AdCenter. Paid
Placement advertising allows businesses to pay for text ads and
links to their web sites when pre-selected search terms are entered.
MSN recently replaced their ad program managed by Yahoo with their
own. While the traffic through MSN’s ad channels is considerably
less than Google’s and Yahoo’s, the fees for the same customer
click-through are typically less, making this an important addition
to our services. If you’re a current SPIDERtel Paid Placement
program customer, you don’t need to do anything to take advantage of
this opportunity. We’ve automatically added MSN to your service. If
you’re considering advertising to self-qualified, targeted
customers, paid placement advertising can be very cost-effective and
extremely beneficial.
