The Johnson County Education Research Triangle leaders hired SPIDERtel in 2006 to help design and tell the story of a very visionary, unique and complex project for Johnson County. Over a two year period of time state legislation was passed, county commission approval of a ballot issue was secured and a five month grassroots campaign was successfully waged. In the end, a local sales tax was passed (during a recession) to finance three higher education projects, degree programs and research in the county.

The JCERT website was a key component to the success of all three steps towards passage of the ballot issue. Joe Lieberman and his staff were professional, creative and responsive. They approach each project individually with no boilerplate mentality.

As one might suspect, the Triangle project took much patience from the SPIDERtel staff. Many community leaders wanted to contribute to the ideas for design and content for the site. Most importantly SPIDERtel was not satisfied with the site until we were satisfied with it and during the campaign were instantly responsive in keeping the site current which allowed the site to evolve with the issue.

There is no doubt with such a unique project that SPIDERtel was the perfect innovative partner for the job.

A few years ago Benefit Trust determined it was time to rebrand and reposition ourselves in the local, regional and national marketplace. Our original logo, colors and website had become stale and didn't represent the dynamic changes taking place within our company and the industry. SPIDERtel took the time to listen to us and really learn about our business. This process also helped us to define our core business lines and focus our marketing efforts.

SPIDERtel developed our logo, web site and collateral materials such as letterhead and business cards. They have also directed our website advertising and product placements. They have been a full service provider.

We are in the financial field we are not technology gurus or web designers. Most of the people I meet have very little understanding of what being a CMO at one of the premier law firm's in the country entails. Typically, following introductions, I get the "you do what?" look.

While my job encompasses traditional marketing and communications, media relations, business research, knowledge management, finance, and more, the business of law is still one that is fueled primarily by relationships. With voter turnout expected to be high for the 2008 Presidential election, Johnson County, Kan., election officials began preparing for communication methods to inform voters of their correct polling location.

Polling places often change, and voters showing up at the wrong polling place can lead to frustration, longer lines, and discouraged voters who may not vote. The Johnson County Election Office anticipated as many as 120,000 of its 360,000 registered voters could be voting at a new location, and enlisted SPIDERtel to help ease this issue.

By creating www.jocopolo.com, slang for Johnson County Polling Locator, the Election Office was first able to spread the word about advance voting options on a website created by SPIDERtel. The website also linked into a county database to let voters look up their polling place, based on their address, and print a map from their home to the polling location.

Johnson County's turnout in the 2008 election was more than 78 percent. More than half voted in advance.

The website received approximately 15,000 visitors the day before and the day of the election, and as a testament to the look-up feature, less than one-half of one percent of all voters cast provisional ballots at locations other than their correct polling places.

In January of 2009, Callahan Creek began partnering with SPIDERtel in our SEM efforts. Over the past several years we have used three other search engine marketing firms for PPC/SEO, one in the KC area, one based in Dallas the other on the west coast. The Menorah Legacy Foundation is an independent, charitable foundation supporting programs and services that foster healthy living throughout the greater Kansas City community. As a charitable foundation, we are very careful about how we spend administrative dollars in an effort to protect those funds that go directly to improving the health and wellbeing of Kansas Citians. Johnson County Interfaith Hospitality Network hired SPIDERtel in the fall of 2008 to design a DVD to be utilized for soliciting business, corporate and foundation support from within our community.

Our greatest challenge had been the need for a tool which would enable the growth of our network. SPIDERtel created a DVD which "tells the story of IHN". The promotional DVD can be viewed on line, or carried into a meeting with business executives whose time is limited, yet have interest in learning more about our network.

The team at SPIDERtel did an outstanding job of capturing the "spirit" of our work with our homeless guests. The DVD allows the viewer to gain an understanding of our mission while enticing them to learn more about our services.
